(Indorsed:) Muster-roll of Company A of the 4th Regiment of Arkansas Mounted Infantry Volunteers, from the 1st day of Jan. to the 2nd day of June.

Note; This Company was organized and reported for duty to Col. Livingston, 1st Nebraska Cav., com’d’g Dist. of Northeast Ark., at Batesville, on the 1st day of Jan. 1864, and from that time till disbanded did a proportional share of duties with the troops of the district.

I certify, on honor, that this muster-roll is made out in the manner required by the printed notes; that it exhibits the true state of Captain Baxter’s Company (A) of the 4th (Fourth) Regiment Ark. Mtd. Inf. For the period herein mentioned; that the “remarks” set opposite the name of each officer and soldier are accurate and just; and that the “recapulation” exhibits in every particular, the true state of the company, as required by Regulations and Rules and Articles of War.

   Station: Duvall’s Bluff, Ark.

   Date: June 2nd, 1864

Jno. W. Ayers, 1st Lt., Commanding the Company

* Note: Rosters were transcribed from two separate sources. Some name spellings varied. The Arkansas Union Soldiers Pension Application Index had even different spelling for a few individuals. I made spelling changes only when reasonably certain, with accuracy paramount. In a few cases, I listed more than one variation in spelling.
